The primary focus of Case Management is to assist the low-income Camden City community and empower them to become self-sufficient and independent members of society (particularly the Hispanic population). PRUP seeks to protect and advocate for the population’s rights to obtain needed goods and services, as well as to reduce physical, cultural, language, and psychological barriers.
PRUP assists in empowering families through employment placement, educational training, securing adequate and affordable housing; and acquiring affordable healthcare. PRUP coordinates and links clients to other service providers such as: energy, water/sewer and tax assistance, rehabilitation loans, and legal services. Translation services are provided to those clients who lack English proficiency.
PRUP is a source of social support for families who live in Camden County. PRUP assists the clients in times of financial or personal hardships, as well as, assist to prevent major family crisis. PRUP clients are continually a part of the PRUP community and are invited to holiday and office celebrations. Their children are invited to attend PRUP’s youth afterschool programs, provided with hot meals and provided with transportation to recreational and educational trips.
Enrollment into PRUP services and case management is quick and easy. Clients may be referred by another agency, health care provider, family member, friend, school, or may walk in for services. All services provided by PRUP are documented in the client confidential file and tracked through the Computerized Tracking System. Many of our clients return on a regular basis for multiple services.
